Plus Plugin: Additional features for self-hosted Seatsurfing
We're excited to announce the launch of the Plus Plugin — a new, independently versioned add-on that brings additional features to self-hosted Seatsurfing instances, features that were previously only available on our hosted Professional plan.
The open-source core of Seatsurfing stays exactly as lean as it always has been. The Plus Plugin runs alongside it as its own Docker container and unlocks additional functionality on an opt-in basis, so nothing changes for self-hosters who don't need it.
What it unlocks
- Microsoft Exchange integration — one-way sync of bookings into your organization's Exchange room calendars, so room availability stays accurate in Outlook without any manual work
- SCIM 2.0 provisioning — automated user and group lifecycle management straight from your identity provider, including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Keycloak, Google Workspace, Workday, OneLogin and PingOne
- Microsoft Teams integration — let your team sign in to Seatsurfing from within Microsoft Teams, using your own Azure AD app registration
More Plus features are planned, and existing ones will keep evolving.
How it works
The Plus Plugin is a standalone Docker image (ghcr.io/seatsurfing/plugin-plus-features) that connects to your existing Seatsurfing backend instance. Once it's up and running, admins will see a new Plus Features section in the admin UI to configure Exchange sync, SCIM provisioning and the Teams integration.
Try it for free
You don't need to purchase anything to try it out: the Plus Plugin works out of the box for instances with up to 10 users across all organizations. Once your instance grows beyond that, a license is required.
Licensing
A license covers your entire self-hosted instance and is purchased for a maximum number of users, valid for one year. Tiers are available for 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1000 users. Purchasing is self-service: enter your instance ID and the number of users, check out via Stripe, and your license key is generated instantly and emailed to you.
